Competence Centre for the Transmission System Operator

As a trusted partner, SPIE Energotest provides specialised equipment and engineering services for power system infrastructure. We possess some of the broadest competencies in Poland, covering approved equipment, Substation Control and Monitoring Systems (SCMS), as well as engineering design, panel manufacturing, equipment supply, and commissioning services.

We execute projects both directly for PSE (Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne) under investor-led contracts and indirectly through EPC contractors and partners such as SPIE Energy, Enprom, Alterga, Elfeko, Grinea, Agat, Elbud Warszawa, Elbud Bis, Olmex, Romgos and others.

We have extensive experience in synchrophasor measurement technology and its application within power system infrastructure. We provide proven solutions supporting monitoring, analysis, and assessment of power system operation, as well as comprehensive support for implementations incorporating WAMS (Wide Area Measurement Systems) functionality.

A key element of our portfolio is the RZ-50 PMU disturbance recorder with synchrophasor measurement functionality, approved for use at transmission system operator substations. We have obtained certification from an independent accredited laboratory confirming the successful completion of performance tests, which demonstrated the device’s high measurement accuracy.

We provide equipment approved for use by PSE, including:

  • RZ-50 PMU disturbance recorder with optional synchrophasor measurement functionality,
  • PP auxiliary relays used in protection and automation panels.

We also supply equipment that is not subject to the PSE approval process, including:

  • DCtest2 earth fault location system for DC networks,
  • APZplus automatic transfer switching systems for auxiliary power supplies,
  • ArcPRO-6 arc flash protection systems for auxiliary power installations.

We also independently provide:

  • engineering design of HV substation secondary circuits,
  • manufacturing of protection and control panels,
  • complete substation commissioning, commissioning coordination, and startup of individual substation automation systems,
  • approved supply of Substation Control and Monitoring Systems (SCMS) for PSE.

Within direct investor contracts for PSE, we provide:

  • busbar protection and local backup protection systems,
  • primary and backup protection relays and terminals.

We are an approved supplier of Substation Control and Monitoring Systems (SCMS) for PSE.

At the Choczewo Substation, acting as a subcontractor, we delivered, configured, and commissioned the HMI layer of the SCMS based on our ECONTROLplus control system. This was the first implementation of its kind fully compliant with the latest PSE requirements.

Our solutions comply with PSE technical requirements and are backed by many years of experience from our engineering and service teams. We provide comprehensive support throughout the entire project lifecycle—from engineering design and equipment selection, through supply and installation, to commissioning and technical support at every stage of project execution.
