SPIE Energotest is an established supplier of ETW-type digital excitation and voltage control systems for medium and high power generators. Our solutions are available in two versions as:
- static excitation systems, shunt-powered from the generator power lead via a step-down transformer,
- automatic voltage regulators for exciters with an output amplifier based on IGBT transistors.
The ETW-type voltage regulator produces an output signal that controls a thyristor rectifier ignition circuit or an IGBT transistor-based amplifier circuit. It contains all the functions necessary to control, regulate and protect the generator excitation system. It also has functions that allow the inactive mode to self-adjust to the active mode.
MOTOR STARTING SYSTEMS
ETS - Synchronous
ETA - Asynchronous
SPIE Energotest has also been supplying ETS and ETA starting systems for high-power motors for many years. These solutions have a cabinet design. In a typical solution, one cabinet contains the control and protection system, a customised operator panel, thyristor exciter with overvoltage protection system, excitation transformer, short-circuit contactor and excitation contactor. For ETA systems, a resistor starter (alternatively eddy current or water) is provided in an additional cabinet(s).
