On 25 - 27 April 2018, another seminar was held at the Czarny Potok Resort & SPA Hotel in Krynica-Zdrój. The main topic was "Safety of the National Power System". The papers were devoted to important current and future issues concerning automation, control systems, electrical equipment and systems in transmission, distribution and in utility and industrial power plants and thermal power plants. The conference was organised by Energotest sp. z o.o. from Gliwice. Substantive patronage was held by Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne SA. The seminar was attended by more than 220 participants representing the Polish utility (transmission, distribution, generation) and industrial electric power industry, engineering companies, academic centres and cooperating companies. Participants received sets of printed seminar materials and their electronic version on pendrives, they can also be downloaded from the links below.
Participants of the meeting were welcomed and officially opened by the President of Energotest, Arkadiusz Klimowicz. The session was chaired by Michal Kazmierczak - Marketing Director.
The evening meeting was enriched by many attractions, including a performance by Magda Tul and a goblet dance show.
During the Seminar, in accordance with the existing tradition, the seminar participants were immortalised in a joint photograph in the open air. This time it was rainy, but this by no means spoiled the good humour.
All sessions were accompanied by interesting technical discussions and an exchange of views on proposed solutions put forward by representatives of academia, constructors of the participating companies and safety system engineers. The discussion was particularly lively on the topic of cyber security. After the last session, during dinner, the chairman of the organising committee, Michał Kaźmierczak, gave words of thanks to the participants, especially to the authors of the papers and the participants in the discussion. Commemorative company gifts were also presented to the authors of the three best papers. They were selected on the basis of questionnaires filled in by the participants.
The presence of managers and specialists in electrical engineering and automation created favourable conditions for sharing experiences, exchanging views and establishing cooperation.
